Mosaic Commons Cohousing may invite households to join us as Associate Members. This invitation will be approved or retracted using our consensus process. Any trustee may immediately suspend an Associate's status if that Associate is involved in a situation at Mosaic Commons requiring intervention by police or similar authorities.
Associates have the same privileges to use the common spaces and facilities as Mosaic Commons Cohousing members, and have the same responsibilities for work to maintain the community, and for attendance at general meetings. Households who do not live at Mosaic Commons are not members of the HOA.
Associates will bid for cohousing dues according to the sliding scale policy, however, they will not be counted when determining the average cohousing dues. This policy will be reconsidered in January 2011 and/or when the last home is sold.
The intent of this policy is to welcome local people who cannot buy homes in Mosaic Commons to be non-resident, active members.
