Mosaic Commons Cohousing
Urgent Decisions Process

When an Associate or Equity Member determines that we need to come to consensus on a time-critical issue between general meetings (e.g., We need to decide on travel arrangements that will be more expensive if left until the next meeting, or whether to take advantage of an advertising opportunity with a deadline before the next meeting), the following process will be used.

At least 75% of the individual Associates and Equity Members must be reached and all Members who are reached must agree in order for the consensus to be achieved. Members will take the concerns of Associates into account whenever possible.

Urgent decisions will be ratified at the next General Meeting at which there is a quorum and added to the minutes and decision log at that time. Ratification formally confirms that the decision was by the group; it does not involve further discussion.
