Re-joining / Becoming Active

Q. How do I re-join the group if I have been inactive?

A. The biggest thing you should do is to make sure you are up to date on all of the current group issues that you want to participate in. It's fine to refrain from participating in consensus on issues that you are not completely caught up on. However, rejoining the group does mean that you intend to continue to participate, not just address a single issue or attend one meeting or workshop.

There are a few specific things you should do:

  1. Contact your mentor! Your mentor can help with any questions you have, getting you caught up on current group issues, and with any of the rest of these steps as needed. If you don't have a mentor, contact Judy and she will assign someone to help you get caught up.
  2. Email the Coordinating team to let us know that you are no longer stepped back.
  3. If you are an Associate member, begin paying monthly dues again.
  4. If there is a workshop that you want to attend, you must do any homework for that workshop, and attend a prep/review meeting if there is one. Remember that rejoining the group does mean that you intend to continue to participate, not just attend a single workshop.
